What is Score Choice and how does it impact what I report?

You should self-report your best scores as instructed, regardless of what individual colleges require or how you have chosen to employ Score Choice. In addition to providing this self-reported information, it is also your responsibility to note the requirements of the colleges to which you are applying and submit official score reports as necessary.

Score Choice is a College Board test-reporting option students can use to submit select SAT Reasoning and Subject Test scores to colleges. Similarly, ACT also permits students to select the scores they wish colleges to receive. For more information, please visit the following sites:

How do I decide which ACT scores to report?

The ACT section of the Common App has been built to accommodate current and previous versions of the ACT.

You should report your highest individual Composite and Test scores earned so far, even if they are from different test dates.

If you took the ACT with Writing after September 1, 2016, you will enter a number between 2 and 12 for your Writing score. If you took the ACT with Writing before September 1, 2016, you will enter a number between 1 and 36 for your Writing score. The exam date you provide will let colleges know which scale applies to your score. Please do not alter or convert the score listed on your score report.

I already submitted, can I change some of my answers?

You can return at any time and change your answer to any question in the Common App tab for future submissions. Remember, the changes won't appear in applications that you have already submitted and you cannot make any changes to submitted applications.
